Solve: $3x+4y=10,2x-2y=2$ by the method of elimination.

$3x+4y=10$ …………..$\left(1\right)$

$2x-2y=2$ (or) $x-y=1$ …………$\left(2\right)$

$\left(1\right)$ $\Rightarrow (3x+4y=10)1$

$\left(2\right)$ $\Rightarrow (x-y=1)3$

$3x+4y=10$

$3x-3y=3$

_____________________

$7y=7$

$\therefore y=1$

Put $y=1$ in $\left(1\right)$ we get $3x+4\times 1=10$

$3x=10-4=6$

$\therefore x=\frac{6}{3}=2$

Hence $x=2,y=1$.
