Solve: 3x+4y=25, 5x6y=9 by elimination method.

Given:

3x+4y=25 ....... (1)

5x6y=9 ....... (2)

Multiply equation (1) by 3 and equation (2) by 2 we get,

9x+12y=75

10x12y=18

Now, by adding both the equation we get,

19x=57

x=3

Substitute x=3 in equation (1) we get,

3×3+4y=25

y=164=4
