⇒ 5 - 2x + 2 = 12 - 4x - 2x

⇒ 7 - 2x = 12 - 6x

⇒ -2x + 6x = 12 - 7
⇒ 4x = 5
⇒ 4x/4 = 5/4
⇒ x = 5/4
