Given equation is $5 x = 3 x + 24$ .
To find out: The value of $x$ .

Subtracting $3 x$ from both sides, we get,
$\Rightarrow$ $5 x - 3 x = 3 x + 24 - 3 x$

$\Rightarrow 2 x = 24$ .

Dividing both sides by $2$ ,we get,
$\Rightarrow$ $\frac{2 x}{2} = \frac{24}{2}$

$\Rightarrow x = 12$ .

Hence, the value of $x$ is $12$ .
