Open in App
Solution

Multiply 3 on both sides of the equation 8x + 5y = 9,

3(8 x+5 y)=9 x 3

24 x + 15 y = 27 (1)

Multiply 8 on both sides of the equation 3x + 2y = 4,

8(3 x+2 y) = 4 x8

24 x + 16 y = 32 (2)

(2) – (1),we get

y = 5 & x = -2
