We have,
$9 (3 x - 4) - 3 (8 - 2 x) = 12.$
$9 (3 x) + 9 (- 4) - 3 (8) - 3 (- 2 x) - 12 = 0$
$27 x - 36 - 24 + 6 x - 12 = 0$
$933 x - 72 = 0.$
$33 x = 72$
$x = \frac{72}{33}$
$x = \frac{3 \times 24}{3 \times 11}$
$x = \frac{24}{11} = 2 \frac{2}{11}$
here $x = 2 \frac{2}{11}$
