$a^{2} - (b + 5) a + 5 b = 0$
$⟹ a^{2} - a b - 5 a + 5 b = 0$
$⟹ a (a - b) - 5 (a - b) = 0$
$⟹ (a - 5) (a - b) = 0$
$⟹ a = 5$ or $a = b$
