A sphere of mass 10 kg is attracted by another sphere of mass 150 kg, with a force equal to $1.28 \times 10^{- 6} N$ , when their centers are separated by a distance of 0.28 m. Calculate the gravitational constant.

Mass of sphere 1, $M_{1} = 10 k g$
Mass of sphere 2, $M_{2} = 150 k g$
Force between the spheres, $F = 1.28 \times 10^{- 6} N$
DIstance between the spheres, $R = 0.28 m$
$∴ F = \frac{{G M}_{1} M_{2}}{R^{2}}$
or $G = \frac{{F R}^{2}}{M_{1} M_{2}} = \frac{{1.28 \times 10}^{- 6} \times 0.28 \times 0.28}{10 \times 156}$
$\approx 6.7 \times 10^{- 11} N m^{2} {k g}^{- 2}$
