Multiplying (1) by $7$ and (2) by $13$ ,we get

$56x+91y=\mathrm{203.....}\left(3\right)$

$156x-91y=\mathrm{221.....}\left(4\right)$

$56x+156x=203+221$

$212x=424$

$x=2$

Putting $x=2$ in (1), we get

$8\left(2\right)+13y=29$

$13y=29-16$

$13y=13$

$y=1$
