Solution

The correct option is A x=a,y=b
bxaayb+a+b=0
b2xa2y+a2b+ab2=0......(i)
bxay+2ab=0.......(ii)
Multiply equation (ii) by b
b2xa2y+a2b+ab2=0
b2xaby+2ab2=0
--------------------------------------------------------------------
a2y+aby+a2bab2=0
ay(a+b)=a2b+ab2
ay(a+b)=ab(ba)
ay=ab
y=b
Substitute y=b in equation (i)
b2xa2b+ab2=0
b2x=a2b
x=a
So, x=a,y=b
