Given, $\frac{3}{5 x - 9} = \frac{1}{4 x - 10}$

$\Rightarrow 3 (4 x - 10) = 5 x - 9$

$\Rightarrow 12 x - 30 - 5 x + 9 = 0$

$\Rightarrow 7 x - 21 = 0$

$\Rightarrow 7 x = 21$

$\Rightarrow x = \frac{21}{7} = 3$

$∴ x = 3$
