We have,
$\begin{matrix} \frac{x + 3}{7} - \frac{2 (x - 4)}{3} = 1 \frac{x + 3}{7} - \frac{2 x - 8}{3} = 1 \frac{3 (x + 3) - 7 (2 x - 8)}{21} = 1 \frac{3 x + 9 - 14 x + 28}{21} = 1 \frac{- 11 x + 37}{21} = 1 - 11 x + 37 = 21 - 11 x = 21 - 37 - 11 x = - 16 x = \frac{16}{11} \end{matrix}$

We get the value of $x = \frac{16}{11}$
