=> $3-\frac{3}{4}=x-\frac{3}{4}x$
=> $\frac{12-3}{4}=\frac{4x-3x}{4}$
=> $\frac{9}{4}=\frac{x}{4}$
Multiplying both sides by 4, we get
=> x = 9

Verification:
Substituting x = 9 on both sides, we get
$\frac{3}{4}\left(9-1\right)=9-3$
$\frac{3}{4}\times 8=6$
6 = 6
LHS = RHS
