The correct option is C $\pm i \sqrt{3}$
The given equation is,
$x^{2} + 3 = 0$

$\Rightarrow x^{2} = - 3$
now square root both sides,
$x = \pm \sqrt{- 3}$
$x = \pm \sqrt{3} \sqrt{- 1}$
$x = \pm \sqrt{3} i$
