Solution

The correct option is A x>1
Method 1:

5x<6
Step 1: Subtract both side of the inequality by 5

5x< 6 5=5 x< 1

Step 2: Multiply both side of the inequality by 1.

x<1
(1)×(x)>(1)×1
x>1

Method 2:

Step 1: Add x to both side of the inequality.

5x< 6 +x= +x 5<6+x

Step 2: To shift constants in left side and unknown in right side of the inequality, subtract 6 from both the side.

5< 6+x 6=6 1< x

Rearranging the terms we get,
1<x
x>1
