$2 x - 3 y = 8 ⟶ (i) ∴ x = \frac{8 + 3 y}{2}$
Putting value of $x$ in equation:
$5 x - 7 y = 19 ⟶ (i i) \Rightarrow 5 (\frac{8 + 3 y}{2}) - 7 y = 19 \Rightarrow 5 (8 + 3 y) - 14 y = 38 \Rightarrow y = - 2$
Putting value of $y$ in equation $⟶ (i)$
$2 x + 6 = 8$
$x = 1$
