(1)xxy-yxy=91y-1x=9...............................(3)(2)xxy+yxy=51y+1x=5............................(4)

Step 2 : Giving substitution

Let1x=A&1y=B3B-A=9.....................(5)4B+A=5......................(6)

Step 3 : To find A and B Using elimination method

(5)+(6)2B=14B=7Therefore,(6)A=5-B=-2

Step 4 : To find x and y

We have,

A=1x-2=1xx=-12B=1y7=1yy=17

Therefore the values of x=-12&y=17
