Let S(n)=12.5+15.8+18.11+.........+1(3n1)(3n2)
Step - (1)
prove s(n) for n=1
L.H.S=12.5+15.8+18.11+.......+1(3(1)1)(3(1)+2)
=12.5+15.8+18.11+........+12.5
L.H.S=12.5=110
R.H.S=12.5=110
So, it is true for n=1.
Step (2)
Assume that S(n) is true for some n(k)
12.5+15.8+18.11+........+1(3k1)(3k+2)
=k(6k+4)
Step - (3)
Prove s(n) for n= k+1
L.H.S=12.5+15.8+18.11+......+1(3(k+1)1)(3(k+1)+2)
=k(6k+4)+1(3k+2)(3k+5)
=k2(3k+2)+1(3k+2)(3k+5)
=[3k2+5k+2]/[2(3k+2)(3k+5)]
[(3k+2)(k+1)]/[2(3k+2)(3k+5)]
=k+12(3k+5)
=k+16k+10
