Let CP be $Rs.x$

$\therefore$ Gain$=12\frac{1}{2}\%ofx$

$=\frac{25}{2}\%ofx$

$=\frac{25}{200}x=\frac{x}{8}$

$\therefore$SP-CP$=$Gain.

$\Rightarrow 1755-x=\frac{x}{8}$

$\Rightarrow x+\frac{x}{8}=1755$

$\Rightarrow \frac{9x}{8}=1755$

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{8}{9}\times 1755$
$\Rightarrow x=8\times 195$
$\therefore x=1560$

Hence, C.P is $1560$
