Solve that:
7x+2y=19
xy=4

Given the two equations 7x+2y=19......(1)xy=4....(2).

Now, (1)+2×(2) gives

7x+2y+2x2y=19+8

9x=27 or, x=3.

Putting x=3 in (2) we get, y=34=1.
