Now,
$x^{2} - 4 a x = 9 b^{2} - 4 a^{2}$ .

$\Rightarrow x^{2} - 4 a x + 4 a^{2} = 9 b^{2}$

$\Rightarrow (x - 2 a)^{2} = 9 b^{2}$

$\Rightarrow x = 2 a \pm 3 b$ .
