According to the rules for solving an equation by systematic method.

If we add same quantity on both the sides of the equation, the equality remains unchanged ,i.e, if $x=a$, then $x+m=a+m$.

We have the equation $x-2\frac{1}{3}=-6$

$\Rightarrow$ $x-2\frac{1}{3}=-6$

$\Rightarrow$ $x-\frac{7}{3}=-6$

$\Rightarrow$ $x-\frac{7}{3}+\frac{7}{3}=-6+\frac{7}{3}$ [Adding $\frac{7}{3}$ on both sides of the equation ]

$\Rightarrow$ $x=\frac{\left(-6\times 3\right)+7}{3}=\frac{-18+7}{3}$

$\Rightarrow$ $x=\frac{-11}{3}=-3\frac{2}{3}$

$\therefore$ $x=-3\frac{2}{3}$ is the solution of the equation

Hence the solution of the equation $x-2\frac{1}{3}=-6$ is $x=-3\frac{2}{3}$
