According to the rule for solving an equation by systematic method.

If we subtract the same quantity from both sides of the equation, the equality remains unchanged ,i.e, if x=a, then x-m=a-m.

We have the equation x+4=6

x+4=6

x+4-4=6-4 [Subtracting 4 from both sides of the equation ]

x=2

x=2 is the solution of the equation

Hence the solution of the equation x+4=6 is x=2
