The correct option is A $x = 9, y = 5$
$x + y = 14$
$x - y = 4$

Add the 2 equations,

$2 x = 18$

$x = 9$

Substitute in first equation.
$(9) + y = 14$

$y = 5$

Thus $x = 9$ and $y = 5$
