(1) $\frac{y+7}{3}=1+y$
(2) $\frac{2p+3}{p-5}=\frac{7}{10}$

(1) $\frac{y+7}{3}=1+y$
⇒ 3y + 3 = y + 7
⇒ 2y = 4
∴ y = 2

(2)$\frac{2p+3}{p-5}=\frac{7}{10}$
⇒ 7p − 35 = 20 p + 30
⇒ 13p = − 65
∴ p = −5
