The correct option is C

We are given:

xa + yb = 1 ------- (1) ;

y=0 ______(2) [ Equation of the x axis is y=0 ]

Subsituting y=0 in the first equation we get,

xa+0=1

xa=1

x=a .

Hence the solution is (a,0)
