The correct option is C (2, 1)
$2 x y = 3$ ----- (1)
$3 x + 2 y = 8$ ----- (2)
Multiply equation (1) by 2 and then subtract the equation (3) and (4)
$4 x - 2 y = 6$ ----- (3)
$3 x + 2 y = 8$ ----- (4)

$7 x = 14$
$x = \frac{14}{7} = 2$
Put the value of $x$ in equation (1), we get
$2 x - y = 3$
$2 (2) - y = 3$
$4 - 3 = y$
$y = 1$
Therefore the solution is (2, 1)
