$3 a^{2} x^{2} + 8 a b x + 4 b^{2} = 0, (a \neq 0)$

$3 a^{2} x^{2} + 8 a b x + 4 b^{2} = 0$
$3 a^{2} x^{2} + 6 a b x + 2 a b x + 4 b^{2} = 0.$
$3 a x (a x + 2 b) + 2 b (a x + 2 b) = 0$
$(3 a x + 2 b) (a x + 2 b) = 0$
$3 a x + 2 b = 0$ or x = $a x + 2 b = 0$
$x = \frac{- 2 b}{3 a}$ or $x = \frac{- 2 b}{a}$
