$⟹$ $5 x + 15 = 8 x + 4$ ...[By Distribution Law]

$⟹$ $15 - 4 = 8 x - 5 x$ ...[Transposing $x$ terms to one side]

$⟹$ $3 x = 11$

$⟹$ $x = \frac{11}{3}$ .
