The correct option is A ${- 2, 2}$
$\Rightarrow$ $x^{2} - 4 = 0$
$\Rightarrow$ $(x)^{2} - (2)^{2} = 0$
We know, $a^{2} - b^{2} = (a + b) (a - b)$
$\Rightarrow$ $(x + 2) (x - 2) = 0$
$\Rightarrow$ $x + 2 = 0$ and $x - 2 = 0$
$∴$ $x = - 2$ and $x = 2$
$∴$ $x = {- 2, 2}$
