$\frac{x+1}{x-1}=\frac{6}{5}$
⇒ 5(x + 1) = 6(x − 1)
⇒ 5x + 5 = 6x − 6
⇒ −x + 5 = − 6
⇒ −x = − 11
∴ x = 11
