so
(x/2)-(x/3)
=((x*3)/(2*3))-((x*2)/(3*2)) ;multplying 3 and 2 on numerator and denominator does not make any change for respective fractions
=(3x/6)-(2x/6)
=(3x-2x)/6
=x/6 ; we can subsarct since denominaors are same
