Given that : $V=240$ Volts, $R=1000\Omega$,
By Ohm's law $V=IR$
$I=\frac{V}{R}$
$=\frac{240}{1000}=0.24A$
$\therefore$ The current flowing through the filament of a bulb $=0.24A$.
