The correct option is C $x = 0.5, y = 0.7$
The equations are
$\Rightarrow 0.5 x + 0.7 y = 0.74 e q (1)$
$\Rightarrow 0.3 x + 0.5 y = 0.5 e q (2)$

multiply 0.3 in eq ( 1 ) and 0.5 in eq (2 )
$\Rightarrow 0.15 x + 0.21 y = 0.222 e q (3)$
$\Rightarrow 0.15 x + 0.25 y = 0.25 e q (4)$

$s u b t r a c t i n g e q (3) a n d e q (4)$
$\Rightarrow 0.04 y = 0.028 \Rightarrow y = 0.7$

put the value of y in eq( 1 )
$\Rightarrow 0.5 x + 0.7 \times 0.7 = 0.74 \Rightarrow 0.5 x = 0.74 - 0.49 \Rightarrow x = 0.5$
