The correct option is C x=2 and y=1
2x3y=7 ...(1)
5x+y=9 ...(2)

Multiplying (2) by 3 and adding (1) and (3),
2x3y=7 ...(1)
15x+3y=27 ...(3)
17x=34
x=2

Substituting x=2 in (1), we get
43y=7
3y=3
y=1

So, x=2,y=1
