Finding the number by solving the riddle

As there $4$ corners in a square.

Thrice the number of corners in the square $=3\times 4=12$

When $12$ is added to the number it becomes $34$

Let the number be $x$

So,

$$\begin{gathered} x+12=34 \\ \Rightarrow x=34-12 \\ \Rightarrow x=22 \end{gathered}$$

Hence, the required number is $22$
