The correct option is A x=3,y=1
12x+17y=53 ...(i)
17x+12y=63 ...(ii)
On adding (i) and (ii) , we get
29x+29y=116
x+y=4 ....(iii)
On subtracting (i) from (ii) , we get
5x5y=10
xy=2 ....(iv)
On adding (iii) and (iv) , we get
2x=6
x=3
By putting x=3 in (iii), we get
3+y=4
y=1
