Let $2x+y=5$ --- (1)
and $3x-y=5$ --- (2)
Adding equations $\left(1\right)$, and $\left(2\right)$ , we get
$5x=10$
$\Rightarrow x=2$
Now, putting $x=2$ in equation $\left(1\right)$ we get, $4+y=5$
$\Rightarrow y=1$
