Given equations are
$2 x - y = 6$ ....(1)
and $3 x + y = 9$ ....(2)
Add equations (1) and (2), we get
$5 x = 15$
$\Rightarrow x = 3$
Substitute thsi value of $x$ in equation (1)
$2 (3) - y = 6$
$\Rightarrow 6 - y = 6$
$\Rightarrow y = 0$
Therefore, the solution is $x = 3, y = 0$ .
