Solve the following system of equations.
xa+yb=a+b;
xa2+yb2=2.

Given,
xa+yb=a+b
or, x=a2+abayb......(1).
Now substituting the value of x in (2) we get,
xa2+yb2=2.......(2)
or, 1+bayab+yb2=2
or, 1ba=yb2(1ba)
or, y=b2 [ Since ab]
Now putting the value of y in (1) we get x=a2.
So, x=a2 and y=b2.
