8x+7yxy=15

Open in App
Solution

Given 7x2yxy=57xxy2yxy=57y2x=52x+7y=5(i)8x+7yxy=158xxy+7yxy=158y+7x=157x+8y=15(ii)
Let 1x=u and 1y=v
equation (iii) and (iv) simultaneously ,
2u+7v=5×714u+49v=35(v)7u+8v=15×214u+16v=30(vi)
Adding (v) and (vi),
65v=65
v=1
putting value of v in (iii)
2u+7v=52u=57u=1
u=1 and v=1
1x=1 and 1y=1
x=1 and y=1
