$x^{2} - \frac{1}{12} x - \frac{1}{12} = 0$

$x^{2} - \frac{x}{12} - \frac{r}{12} = 0$
$12 x^{2} - x - 1 = 0$
$12 x^{2} - 4 x + 3 x - 1 = 0$
$4 x (3 x - 1) + 1 (3 x - 1) = 0$
$(4 x + 1) (3 x - 1) = 0$
4x + 1 = 0 or 3x - 1 = 0
$x = - 1 / 4$ or $x = 1 / 3$
