Given,
$5 (2 x - 1) - 3 (6 x - 2) = 5$
$10 x - 5 - 18 x + 6 = 5 - 8 x + 1 = 5$
Transposing $+ 1$ from LHS to RHS, we get,
$- 8 x = 5 - 1 - 8 x = 4$

Now, dividing both sides by $- 8$ , we get,

$x = \frac{4}{- 8} x = - \frac{1}{2}$
