Solve the pair of equations using method of substitution.
2x+3y = 13 , 4x-y = 5 [2 MARKS]

Given equations are,

2x+3y=13(i)

4xy=5(ii)

Consider,

4xy=5

y=4x5

Substituting y in (i) we get,

2x+3y=13

2x+12x15=13

14x=28

x=2

y=85=3
