3x+4y=10 , 2x- 2y=2

Open in App
Solution

The given system of equations is :3x + 4y = 10 .....12x - 2y = 2 .....2Multiply 2 by 2, we get4x - 4y = 4 .......3Adding 1 and 3, we get 7x = 14x = 147x = 2Put x = 2 in 1, we get3×2 + 4y = 106+4y = 104y = 10-64y = 4y = 44 = 1So, x = 2; y = 1 is the solution.
