The quadratic formula is x=-b±b2-4ac2a.

For the given equation x2-8x+15=0, the value of variables are a=1,b=-8 and c=15.

Substituting the values of a,b and c in quadratic formula,

x=-(-8)±(-8)2-4(1)(15)2(1)x=8±64-602x=8±42x=8±22x=8-22,8+22x=3,5

Therefore, the roots of the given equation are 3, 5.
