Dear student

Due to rusting of iron, the brown colored substance i.e. iron rust (Fe2O3) is formed on iron particles. Chemical reaction for rusting of iron is provided below:
4 Fe + 3O₂ = 2 Fe₂O₃

Due to corrosion of copper, green colored substance i.e. copper carbonate (CuCO₃) is formed on copper particles. Chemical reaction for corrosion of copper is provided below :
2 Cu + H₂O + CO₂+ O₂= Cu(OH)₂ + CuCO₃
