Solve this:
Q. A stone is dropped from certain height which can reach the ground in 5 s. If the stone is stopped after 3 s of its fall and then allowed to fall again. Find the time taken (in second) by the stone to reach the ground for the remaining distance.

Dear student,
Use the second eqn of motion
H=10*25/2=125 m.
Distance travel in 3s
h=10*9/2=45 m
Time taken to travel remaining 125-45=80 m
T=√(80*2/10)=√16=4 sec
