Question

Solve this equation H3(Po4)+Ca(OH2)=HOH+Ca3(Po4) I want this method of balance

Open in App
Solution

Looking at Ca3(PO4)2, to balance Ca at LHS you know you need 3 Ca(OH)2 and to balance P you need 2 H3PO4 at LHS .this leaves 6 H2Os at RHS after looking at the no. of H at LHS.

Thus the balanced chemical eqn is
3 Ca(OH)2 + 2 H3PO4 -> Ca3(PO4)2 + 6 H2O
