$5 x^{2} + 13 x + 8 = 0$

$a = 5, b = 13, c = 8$

$x = \frac{- b \pm \sqrt{b^{2} - 4 a c}}{2 a}$

$x = \frac{- 13 \pm \sqrt{13^{2} - 4 \cdot 5 \cdot 8}}{2 \cdot 5}$

$= \frac{- 13 \pm 3}{10}$

$x = - 1, - \frac{8}{5}$
